My dad was not so lucky.
Like most Nigerians, my father had lofty ambitions. He thrived in his industrial fumigation venture where he fumigated a lot of food allied companies like Flour Mills of Nigeria, Dangote flour Mills, Honeywell flour Mills, Apple & Pears Limited etc.
Often, he returned from work (late) and told us how lucrative the food industry was and his plans to venture into supplying some of the raw materials needed to support their production operations as soon as was possible. His biggest challenge then was the Capital to be able to meet the minimum conditions for securing the required contracts.
This meant he had to be able to deliver up to 100Tonnes at a time. This was the equivalent of about 3 large trucks for which he would need Tens of Millions of Naira. In short, my father had limitations. Many limitations.
Limited time, limited resources, limited knowledge on how to ensure grain quality and even if he wanted to straight away supply these mills their basic raw materials such as soybean and maize, he would also have to source the right and secure a Warehouse to store them before delivering them. Apart from that, there were local Official Taxes to pay (Receipted), Local Lords of the Manor to appease (Un-receipted Taxes, Lol), terrible roads to navigate and dodgy farmers who sometimes hid stones in the middle of the Soya Beans or Maize bags they were selling. In short, na Naija we dey and our problems are special (if you be Naija, you know).
Ofcourse his overall aim was to expand his source of income in order to meet up to the ever-increasing needs and ambitions of his business and his kids. Unfortunately, he wasn’t really disposed to achieve that before he was suddenly hit with an aggressive form of Melanoma that spread like wildfire through his ideas ravaged mind.
My father didn’t get to know Bahranda or a model that could accomplish his dreams of playing in the agro-commodity trading space even while he worked as a fumigation contractor in Companies that needed those same commodities. Also, due to the challenges of operating such a business, he would have had to stop his fumigation business in order to face it full time, which would have created financial uncertainty, so he always pushed when to start down the road. Quite an unfortunate conundrum abi.
You can now achieve your dreams of trading various agro-commodities using the simple and stress-free Bahranda model. It's simple, it's transparent and it's profitable. It has worked for many and It can work for you too.
